God moved powerfully on the streets of Kona last night! It was 6:30 and we met in the classroom to split up into groups - one group to intercede and one to go evangelize on the streets. Once we had the groups determined we hit the streets! One of the very first words we got was "Ali'i - Where the sidewalk ends." (Ali'i is the street that Port YWAM is on) So my group walked down to the end of the street and started looking for someone to minister to. We started walking around and were looking for people that the intercessors got words for, but we kept going in circles and struggled finding anybody. Someone in our group felt that we were supposed to stay in one spot and wait for the right people to walk by. So we went and sat on the wall right in front of Port YWAM and waited for the people we had gotten words for, to walk by.
We had been sitting for about five minutes when a guy wobbled in front of us and was looking at us. One of the girls in my group said "Hey" and he said hi back. We started talking to him and he told us his name was Jeffrey and that he had just come to Kona. He continued to tell us that last year some of his friends slammed his head through the a window in a truck and threw him out and ran him over at 45mph, then they came back and robbed him. Jeffrey said that he was in a coma for almost 3 months and has 26 screws and 3 plates in his head and that he couldn't open his right hand all the way.
So we asked him if we could pray for healing over his body and he was very excited and said yes! We fully believed that we would see his hand open all the way and that he would no longer have any pain in his body! So a few of us started praying over him and praying over his hand in particular that he would be able to fully open it. We finished praying and we asked him to open his hand, but he wasn't able to!
Then he told us that he no longer had ANY pain in his body and that even though he couldn't open his hand, it was feeling better! We were so glad, and we prayed for him once more and then headed back to base. Right before we headed back, Jeffrey was already gone, we got a message with another word. The message said "WORD: man with mustache a near death experience. Jesus saved his life for a reason."
As soon as we saw this message we headed back to Port YWAM!! We ran into the room where they were praying and I talked to the person with the word and told her what had happened out there and what Jeffrey had told us! And then... (This is my favorite part) she said when she saw the picture she saw a truck!!! (Jeffrey was thrown out and run over by a truck) We had just finished praying with Jeffrey and after his healing we got a prophetic message to pray for him!! It was so amazing!
After we had prayed for him the first time and his hand didn't extend I felt like I was under attack. I heard things like "If God was all powerful he would be healed him." After seeing the message it was God confirming that we had done what he wanted us to do and I was so stoked to be a part of it!
Thanks for all the prayers!
